Coordinator's Notes

30th November 2000 -

Don McLennan (Regional Director), Steve Hovey (CDC AFSS and SLC FSDPS FacRep), Darrell Mounts (DEN AFSS) and I were in Casper for the Regional Quarterly Wednesday. Tuesday night, we were able to visit, for a short time, with Joe Medina (former CPR FacRep), before going to the facility for a visit with some of the members.

Pat O'Connor (CPR FacRep) and 4 of the Casper members attended and we had a lively discussion. It was evident we still have a long way to go with communication in this Region, and I hope all members feel free to call either of us if you have questions or concerns about what your (and I emphasize "YOUR") Union is trying to do for you. If you don't understand something, or it seems wrong, don't hesitate to let us know.

We have set up a tentative schedule for next years quarterly meetings and hope to be in Boise, ID and Cedar City, UT for two of them next year.

Wednesday, after the Quarterly meeting, we drove down to Denver, CO for a meeting with some of the members at Denver AFSS. It was a long day, but I think it was beneficial to all involved. The members had a lot of questions and suggestions. This morning (Thursday), Don is at the facility meeting with more of the members before heading back to Seattle, this afternoon.
