Memorandum of Understanding
Between the National Association of Air Traffic Specialists
And the
Federal Aviation Administration
This Agreement is made by and between the National Association
of Air Traffic Specialists ("NAATS" or "the union") and the Federal Aviation
Administration ("FAA" or "the Agency"), collectively known as "the Parties."
This Agreement represents the Parties understanding of the agency's
collaborative convective forecast product (CCFP) and it's use by NAATS
bargaining unit members. This agreement shall be posted at all facilities with
NAATS bargaining unit members within 30 days of its effective date. This
agreement shall remain in effect until cancelled by mutual agreement of the
Parties.
Section 1. The Employer agrees to provide bargaining unit CCFP access via
the FAA Intranet for pre-duty weather briefing purposes. To the extent possible
this will be accomplished in the operations area at the facilities.
Section 2. NAATS bargaining unit members shall receive the training
necessary to interpret and provide weather information using the CCFP.
Section 3. The Employer agrees that the operations supervisor or his/her
designee will ensure NAATS bargaining unit members are promptly advised of
weather changes and significant weather developments displayed by CCFP if that
information is not otherwise readily available to bargaining unit members.
Section 4. The Parties agree that local level negotiations are authorized
to address any CCFP related matters not covered in this memorandum of
understanding. Nothing in this MOU constitutes a waiver of any union statutory
or contractual right.
